Weekly Oral English Exercises

Last week, we have hold a English exercises of discussion on the topic of working in the company, this exercises has two parts.

The first dialogue shows 2 managers choose 1 person to promotion,foreigners’ phraseology are quite difference with Chinese.The way of thinking,that is the problem.Thinking in foreigners’ way will be a long term learning theme for us.

The second dialogue,these 2 managers talked about Tom Clark and John Martin.Tom did good in the company, for examples: good performance in sales and easygoing in the company. But Tom involved in several office romances and been censored for that.

Tom changed after that, that is a good performance in the 2 manager’s opinion. So they decided to give him a promotion.

On the contrary, John Martin’s performance was bad even awful in the company.Less than impressive sale record, hard to deal with, no common sense etc.Even complained and against normal company rules, so they don’t like him and want to fire him. So be a good man, your hard work will pays off in the future, people can see that.

After the exercises, the members are all shared their feelings.

Fancise : This Saturday we still have spoken English activity that it can improve our oral expression. At the very beginning of the first time, our pronunciation was not very accurate. But it doesn't matter. We believe that our pronunciation will become more and more accurate and better. The most important thing is to have the atmosphere of learning and helping each other, and we can make progress together. In addition,we not only improve the English expressive ability,but also learn how to do things for people such as job handing,coexistence between colleagues and so on when we practice the spken English. Because it is a variety of ways of English expression,so we can learn something uesful from other that we can prefect yourself.

Anne: After listening to that Bruce's English, I read it again. I didn't read as fluently as he read, and the pronunciation was not so standard. Thank you very much for the suggestion of Bruce. We should look at the foreign films and read more English articles, and pay more attention to their pronunciation in the process of reading, to find out the words that do not understand, accumulating more vocabulary, because many of the dialogues he read today are not understood, only understand the front of a little, however he is patineted for listening to us and correct my pronunciation. Today's harvest is to know a lot of words that have not been heard before, and then can also be bold in English, now I began to dare to say that this is a good start and I believe it will be better in the future.

Wing: After this oral practice, I found that my spoken language has improved, and I can also express what I want to speak fluently, only to improve my accent constantly and make my English more international. During the two weeks' practice with our partners, we can continue to learn some new skills from get after serious study. This is a very good harvest. In preparation for the weekly Saturday oral practice, in addition to the ability to improve my time management ability, I can also keep on learning English, enrich myself, improve skills, and make life more brilliant.
